Description
Housing cooperatives play a key role in delivering affordable housing across Europe, yet their projects often fall below the lending thresholds of financial institutions, and their limited balance sheets make large-scale financing difficult to access.
This workshop will explore how aggregation and financial intermediation models can enable housing cooperatives and associations to access financing from the European Investment Bank and Council of Europe Development Bank as well as national promotional banks, with the support of InvestEU and fi-compass. Drawing on experiences from pilot regions participants will discuss scalable solutions, legal recourse frameworks, and ways to foster greater IFI and NPBI engagement with the cooperative housing sector.
The session will bring together Commission services, the European Investment Bank and Council of Europe Development Bank, national promotional and commercial banks, cooperative housing federations, and pilot regions.
The link to connect to the web stream will be provided to all registered participants shortly before the workshop.
