With the first-ever European Affordable Housing Plan presented today, the Commission addresses one of the most pressing needs of European citizens: access to affordable, sustainable and good-quality housing.

Commissioner for Energy and Housing, Dan Jørgensen, has received today the policy recommendations to address the housing crisis prepared by the Housing Advisory Board.

On 13 November, Executive Vice-President Teresa Ribera, responsible for a Clean, Just, and Competitive Transition, hosted in Brussels the implementation dialogue on public support for affordable housing.

The Commission currently has a comprehensive public consultation ongoing to gather input on the first-ever European Affordable Housing Plan. The consultation is now entering its final month, with deadline 17 October.
