The European Commission invites citizens, public authorities and stakeholders to share views on how best to protect and promote housing affordability in the areas of Europe most severely affected by the housing crisis.

On Thursday 5 February, delegates from all ministries responsible for housing across the EU Member States gathered in Brussels for a meeting organised by the European Commission, to discuss the implementation of the European Affordable Housing Plan that was presented in December last year.
This report explores the income and housing situation of different generations in the EU, assessing the implications for intergenerational fairness and their connection to demographic change.
The strategy sets out to tackle barriers and foster inclusion. The Commission intends to carry out a study to assess risks and identify solutions for improving housing for the most vulnerable groups. Read the full press release here.
